About a year ago one of my female ducks passed away unexpectedly. The hen had no attack marks and was just frozen dead, no other birds were sick or affected. And if it matters, she was a 2 year old Blue Swedish Duck. Does anyone know a possible cause for death?

Just like with all living things. The heart may have stopped, and duck crossed the Rainbow Bridge.
Only thing I can suggest for the future. If you want to find out, send the body for a necropsy, to your state lab for analysis, this will give you the best answers. https://www.metzerfarms.com/poultry-labs.html

WISHING YOU BEST,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and :welcome

It can be hard when one of our girls moves on, it leaves us with the big question of ‘why’ ?
Unfortunately sometimes it ‘just is’. It could be something hereditary, a slight internal issue ? It just happens 🤷‍♀️
Rather than beat yourself up it’s kinder to yourself to try to say ‘RIP my beautiful girl, you will be missed’
Trust me, it’s never easy but then life is never easy 🥰

I wish I could send the body for a necropsy but it’s too late now, thanks for the support though!
