Alrighty y'all, I've had ducks for quite some time now, but my ladies are acting quite weird this season... I've got two ladies (a mallard and a Cayuga) that are on their nests for a second time this year. The first time they laid, the mallard hatched a single duckling and the cayuga hatched a foursome. However, they're both back on their nests! I've also got three other ladies (2 mallards and another Cayuga) that are on nests, but they've been on those nests for maybe two months now with no babies.... Kinda worried that something might be wrong, but all five still hiss at me when I check on them. Any ideas y'all?

I've never had ducks go broody before so I wasn't sure if that's what it was. Thanks. Yeah, they've got maybe a week before the two-month mark and we're going to have some *very* unhappy quackers!!

With Ducks they are easy to break out of Broodiness....Collect eggs daily and destroy any nests they attempt to build...Once the eggs and nest is gone you will be surprised how quickly they are normal again....
