The top of a 3ish week old Cayuga duckling foot. Scabbiness coming off once I started spraying with vetericyn but seems weird still. Any ideas? Separated from the rest of my ducklings in case it was something bad. Wiling to try to get something for it from tractor supply if there’s something that will help. No vets here that will help. Will also cull if necessary but wanted to ask here before I go that route.

That looks terrible! That's a very abnormal swelling. When did it start and how long has it been that way? How old is the duckling? What is she being fed? What does the bottom of the foot look like? The other ducklings are normal? It could be devastating for a duckling to be separated and left alone. Probably isn't anything contagious. If it were my duckling I wouldn't leave her by herself.

It’s really weird and I didn’t want to risk infecting all the rest of my ducklings. I noticed it on Wednesday. He’s been eating manna pro duckling starter grower and just switched to all flock crumble. I plan to give him another day or so then if it’s improving at all move him back with his friends.

That looks like poop on her foot- could you wash her foot off and get more photos? Are there any injuries on her foot?
What bedding is she on?
That's a lot of swelling, so I'd imagine soaking her foot in warm epsom salt water could be a good idea. Is a vet an option?
If you have her separated (which I don't think is likely to be necessary) give her a little mirror to prevent loneliness.
@Miss Lydia What do you think? Please correct if any of my advice is wrong

I'd like to see the foot after a good soaks in warm Epsom salt water directions on the container as to how to mix. What is the bedding and how often is it changed. Ducklings standing in wet poopy bedding can get ammonia burns. Not saying that is what it is, have they been outside on rough ground anything he could have stepped on that might have done this? Falling off of something? I don't believe it's necessary to separate either it just causes stress. I sure wouldn't be thinking of culling yet.

He's back with his friends. They are on shavings on top of puppy pads and the whole thing gets changed daily. Just going to keep an eye on it for now. Been spraying and cleaning it. Thanks for the help.
