Weird egg attachment!!

New to this forum and website and backyard chicken raising. I think this egg is the first one

for this girl and I don't know if this is remotely normal! Does anyone know what the weird umbilical looking attachment is?? She laid it right in front of me and it was super squishy! Should I be concerned??

Hens at the beginning or end of a laying cycle frequently lay weird eggs. Things generally even out as her reproductive system 'perfects' the egg laying process.

Thanks! So I shouldn't worry about the weird thing coming off it? Two of my other girls laid for the first time yesterday and they were beautiful, normal large eggs. Don't remember which one laid this freaky one because all of my girls are identical.
