I have a bluebell chicky, about 4 years old. She hasn't laid for about a year because i think she wasn't happy in her surroundings. I've now moved her in with my free range chickies and is so much happier and healthier. I've got my fingers crossed that bluebell will start to lay again. This morning I looked into her nest box and there was a few poops and this small yellow hard ball, almost how a yolk goes when you hard-boil an egg, not foamy at all like ceacal but solid and dry. Do you think its a weird poo or her body trying to get into egg laying again?!

Sounds like a lash 'egg'...which indicates an infection.
If she's in with a flock, how do you know that it's 'her' nest?

I know it's her nest box as she's got her own coop at the moment while she's still getting used to the other chickies in the garden, they all go into their big coop and she goes into her own smaller one.

Oh bugger....i've never seen anything or heard about these before but now i've looked it up

Thank you both of you for telling me about Lash eggs...No idea what to do with her now as i'd just got my hopes up as she seems so much healthier and happier now shes free range. And i lost a chicky last week due to which i'm pretty sure was egg peritonitis...

Do you think i've got hope with making her better with antibiotics as this is the first time i've seen her produce these lash eggs. Only thing is in the UK the only way of getting antibiotics is to go to the vet and then that's £60 gone for the appointment and the drugs. Hff...
Thanks again!

So, after doing a couple of hours of research looks like Bluebell has bacterial salpingitis

I gave her a bath earlier so i could clean her vent and give her a feel over. Her abdominal is all big like my chicky that i lost last week to egg peritonitis, although she's not waddling yet. Once her backside was wet i could get a proper look at her tummy and its so swollen and pink/purple the poor thing. No idea how long shes been like this for...the top lump is her vent and the large lump under is her tummy, it goes all the way to her keel bone, then the keel bone sticks out like a razor at the front, no breast meat at all!

Anyway, so obviously i would like to try and get her better, there's not many solutions out there from what i've read apart from antibiotics...is there a certain one that is recommended for the bacteria's that cause this infection (e-coli)? I can't get any antibiotics without prescription over here in UK so might end up ordering online from US.
So any recommendations of antibiotics that will do the trick would be well appreciated as well as trusted websites i can buy them from...that do international shipping would be useful too.
Thanks in advance!

There are lots of different bacteria, and lots of different antibiotics. Some bacteria resist a wide range of antibiotics, so you'd need to get a culture and sensitivity test done to determine which antibiotic would work best. Some bacteria resist only a few different types of antibiotic, but that's not much help if one of them is the one you end up buying.
