Weird egg, possible mites

Had an egg this morning that had a very funky end where the air sac is. When I grabbed the egg, I noticed a few tiny bugs crawling on it, most likely mites. What is the best solution and way to help get rid of mites?

Permethrin based poultry spray or dust can be used to treat mites and lice.

I've heard varies things about DE dust. Would that work or keep away from it?
