Hi all! I just went to collect eggs and I got this kind of strange one today. Have never seen anything like this before. The egg is kind of cream colored which is weird in itself since we have brown, white & green egg layers. Our silkie hen lays cream colored eggs but they are about half this size. Anyway, the main weird thing is the strange veiny looking stuff in it. Anyone know what this is or what it means?

If I were to guess, I'd say that the egg perhaps was weak or damaged in that spot during development, and was sort of glazed over?
Yes.
Egg was cracked during shelling, then 'repaired' with more shelling.
When you break this egg for eating, see if the shell is thin in places.
Hopefully it's a one off glitch and doesn't continue.
