weird egg

My hen just started laying eggs and the first couple were fine but today she laid a weird egg it has tiny white speckles all over is this normal?I'm new to this

It is best to start with 3 birds at a bare minimum. If you stay with 2 and one dies, you will continually need to add birds.

Well, at least she gets a little company from the cat and dog Chickens, I find are very social. I hope this spring you will be able to get her a couple of friends.

I like hearing more positive stories containing Dogs/Chickens for a change..
I read about attacks more than friendships way too often.

My dogs and birds live in harmony.. I'm glad for the OP as well!

Yeah she loves hanging out with the dog they are always sun bathing and running around together

I don't really see anything out of the ordinary. It could be the way the calcium was applied.
There are always going to be variations.

I don't see anything wrong with it. But...you mentioned she just started laying, do you have any other girls at point of lay? Could be from a totally different pullet

egg factory eggs are inspected, washed and graded.. you wiil only see anomalies with back yard eggs

Awww, I'm sorry she's by herself. It's a lovely egg, nothing to worry about.

Are you going to get her any friends, I'm sure she would love to have some.
