weird egg

Here's a picture of a normal egg and another egg that I found today.

What would cause a size like this? I have 4 hens and usually get 3 eggs/day. One, Henny Penny, has not acted well for some time now. She just seems to move very slowly. I see her eating and pooping, don't feel anything strange touching her. She just seems....slow. She's 3 years old, almost 4.

It's just a tiny "fart" egg. A bit of tissue fools the hen's body into thinking it's an egg yolk, and as it passes down the oviduct, an egg forms around the tiny spec of tissue. https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/common-egg-quality-problems.65923/

I have seen my chickens lay those more than a few times. My white plymouth rock laid tiny eggs when she first started laying and now the she is over a year and they haven't increased.

Those tiny fart eggs (also called wind eggs) are fairly common in younger hens. Just a blip in the egg laying process.
