That would make sense, sometimes new layers lay soft shelled eggs, it's like a kink in their system while their bodies are working things out.I’m not sure what hen it came from but I assumed it was from one of my hens that hadn’t started lying yet. It almost seemed like the hen dropped it once it got on the roost... I took a picture to share here then threw it away
