weird eggs

A friend that i get mutt hatching eggs from has a small problem and i told him you folks could help.....

The hens are 2nd year layers and have always layed a normal size and shaped egg until about 2 weeks ago, he started to find very small eggs, some without a yolk, smaller that a banty egg more like a pheasant size. Why or what is going on?

It appears they've begun to lay fart eggs.

Some will lay them at the beginning or end of laying cycles. If they are hens that are under two years old, this will soon go away and they should begin laying normal eggs soon.
