weird eggs

Hi all.
I have a chicken that for the past week has been laying eggs that look like they have been rolled in sand. She normally lays beautiful brown eggs now they are gritty (bad) and albino in color.
Does any one know what is going on?

Thank you so much for the link! Yep, my poor chickens had a skunk scare just over a week ago (the skunk and I played cat and mouse until I could get my chickens out of the pen).
There was one chicken that was the most frightened by this episode (I think the skunk had her when I ran out like a banshee in the night).

Any idea how long her eggs will look like sandpaper? Its been about a week now.
