Weird Eggs

Someone told me about eggs called "farters" and soft-shelled eggs. What are these eggs and are they a sign of bad health?

It's when for some reason the shell doesn't form around the egg. I don't think it means the hen is in bad health. I have had a handful of those eggs and they are just spoofs. Kinda like getting a tiny egg. Sometimes hens just have an off day haha

Just oopsie eggs in the egg factory - nothing to worry about unless it's a regular (meaning constant) issue.
