Weird feathers

Try searching Asian blue chickens.I work at a Tsc and this year we started using a few new hatcheries (we stopped using my healthy because of salmonella) They most likely came from hoover hatchery. My store got a few shipments labeled Asian (they can come in a black or a blue color)

THANK YOU!!! This has been the most helpful information so far! I was convinced they had been mislabeled and I would never figure out what they were. Now to figure out the sex of these chickens. LOL!

Here is a pic of the one in question:

It looks like its going to be a rooster to me but you never know. When the hatchery sends the boxes of birds they are supposed to CLEARLY write on each part of the box what is in that section. But some of the boxes you can barely read what they tried to write. I hope you weren't sold a straight run when they were labeled pullets!!! But sometimes its impossible to read the abbreviations from the hatchery!! I know this year my store got in both pullets and straight runs of the Asian birds

No they were labeled straight run so I knew we could have some roosters. I just hope that the other 5 are indeed pullets. The others all feathered out very nicely but some of them have really red combs. This is the only one that has had weird feathers. And he is VERY outgoing. He's the only one that has pecked us! And he will come right up to you for food.
