Hi, I was just looking at my 3 week old chicks and I noticed this chicks feet. I have never come across this before. Any ideas on what to do ? She seems to walk ok.

I'm pretty sure it's the 3rd one because you mentioned it was a 3 week old chick.
- Crooked toes can sometimes be evident at hatch or within a few hours after hatch.
- In the brooder, crooked toes can happen if chicks have a slick surface on the brooder floor, such as newspaper or plastic.
- Bent toes may also be caused by nutritional deficiencies, specifically a lack of riboflavin.

I feed a medicated chick grower from murdocks. A farm store here in Montana.A good chick starter has all the nutrition needed for growing and developing chicks.
What are you feeding them?
You can get riboflavin at your local Walgreens or other medical drug store near you.Thanks for your advice..
Where would I get riboflavin?? I agree with maybe #3 too. This is the first time I noticed it. And the chicks all have shavings in the broader. I have never had a chick with toes like this.
