I just got a white chinese gander today for my brown chinese goose angel. When i put them together our other chinese gander started mounting the new white gander anyone know why they do that? Also my two muscovy drakes that have been together since hatching are doing that. One brown muscovy drake will mount my female speckle and the other brown drake will mount the other drake anyone know why. It was quite funny watching one drake mount the hen and also fighting with another drake who wanted to mount her.

is the white ganger trying to get jiggy with the goose??

same with the muscovies, male ducks, and geese will "mount" another drake who is mating in an attempt to push him off, and take his place, saying 'this is MY girl, not yours!"

roosters will do it too, atleast ours do
