Weird gargle when panting

So, it’s hot right now in Texas.
Over 100 everyday. I’ve made sure to supply plenty of water (changing it twice a day, adding ice to the water) and provided a pool with a big cube of ice everyday for cool
Water. Plus, my run is covered so lots of shade. I’ve done all I can.

but I had a hen (6month old red) this evening making a strange gargle sound while she was panting. She was roosting with the others and seemed normal otherwise. Any thoughts on what this is? Is it normal? Heat related?
It’s not extremely loud, just a light gargling sound only when she pants.

Check her crop. She may have a yeast infection causing an increase in crop fluids. A full crop in the morning before she eats or drinks indicates a crop issue. https://www.backyardchickens.com/ar...w-to-know-which-one-youre-dealing-with.73607/

Thank you, I checked it this morning and she seems completely normal. No more gargling, and her crop was empty first thing this morning. Thanks for the help!
