Weird gobbling noise

Sometimes my chickens (I’ve only heard my Easter eggers do it) will make a strange gobbling noise that sounds like a turkeys but a bit faster a slightly higher pitched, what is this noise and what does it mean

Sometimes they make a sound like that if they’re being bothered (my girl used to make it when I picked her up)

Mine made the noise when he was just walking around eating, it was like the purring noise except deeper

How old is this cock/erel(I assume because you said "he")in weeks or months?

Chickens make all kinds of sounds, very few are definable, but it can be fun to speculate.
