Weird idea taxidermy heat plate

I was wondering if you could attach chicken skin plus feathers to the bottom of a heat plate to make it more natural/keep it warmer with less electricity needed. Or maybe do something like a fleece hen with real feathers

While I don't think that you should attach it to the bottom of the heat plate, I have seen things that go around the edges of the heat plate that have feathers on the sides to make it feel more like a mother hen to the chicks. I'll see if I can find a photo.
