Let's see -
Neighbor to the North is a pot-smoking Dungeness crab fisherman. I really don't care if my rabbits are constantly stoned from his smoking in the shed, the rabbits seem happy and he's quiet. Plus, he gives me several dozen crabs each time he goes in exchange for filling his propane tank.
Neighbor to the West is a contractor and off-Island most of the time. I've hired him for a few jobs and it takes forever to finish anything. But he's quiet, brings over bowls full of kitchen scraps for the birds and rabbits, plus he keeps an eye on the neighborhood.
Neighbor next to him, young couple with an unneutered pitbull who likes to charge people in their own driveways so now we're all afraid of it, no fences of course. They are really nice folks and love our animals, but they seem to be stupidpetowners and loud to boot. Right now they are rocking two black leather couches as a sort of outdoor living room in their side yard.
Neighbor on the other side of him, nice older lady. Runs the local psych center for DSHS. Keeps to herself and very quiet. We like her. We're not fond of her clients who used to visit for appointments.
Neighbor to my South, single mom of two girls, both are "special" in a way that requires psychiatric care. Caught the young one in my house a few times, now I keep the doors locked even when I'm home or out back. *eye roll* Mom is never home. Older teen is in really bad shape, just announced on Facebook she's transgendered and insists no one understands. I try to help out by helping when the younger daughter disappears or the older one gets stranded and needs a ride.
Neighbor to my East, great lady. Runs a doggie daycare from her 5 acre home, so yes its loud but I have 3 dogs (two bassets and a border collie). She's uber-responsible and very interested in keeping us all on great terms with each other. We adore her and have since we first met. I have four roosters and she told me to tell anyone who complains that the noise is coming from her place!
