Ok now I know I am in the right place. Everyone has been making fun of me using hair clips on my male polish crested so he can see where he is going.

As for funny things I do with my chickens the one that has mixed results is holding them up in the air so they can flap their wings and sing "I Believe I Can Fly" as we run around the coop.

Oh and we have a Sebright that lives in a large bird cage in the house. If I put her in the coop I am afraid the other chickens we beat her up and rightly so because she would probably start it. Sprite has a severe case of little chicken syndrome. I think she also has some anger issues because she is very destructive and likes to tear things up because she can. :thun

Go figure.

This morning since I was the only one at home, I went out early and ate breakfast and had my coffee with them. It was nice. No street noise, and I could actually hear other roosters from down the road crowing. Not that I think it's in any way weird or funny...

DBF decided one day he was going to take a nap outside with the chickens. He came back in about 20 minutes later, all groggy & grumbling that he didn't know his ear looked like a big juicy bug.

Someone confirm for me please, but I think lice are species specific, meaning your chickens can't give you lice and you can't give them lice either. So you can reassure Mom that even if your chickens do have lice, those lice can't live on you! (the things you learn working for a vet!)

I threw a chicken at a friend who's came over and is terrified of birds.

The chicken just bounced off of his coat and went along on it marry way. He however still hasn't gotten over it

Something a ball of feathers with claws hurling at him, or some such

I also insist on sitting chicks on my Jack Russell Terrier's head. It's great fun watching his eyes roll over in their sockets as he tries to lick them!
