I found this egg today, it was the only one effected.

I'm not sure what these are, but I sure hope they are not worm eggs on this chicken egg... Does anyone know? Thanks for any help!

Looks like excess calcium deposits on the shell.

Thanks, I sure hope excess calcium is all they are, the odd thing is that they are all uniform spheres in size and shape. They appear like insect eggs because they are all so "perfect". Do calcium deposits come in tiny spheres like that? It would be a relief.
I've got the egg under water in a bleach solution just in case.

I've got the egg under water in a bleach solution just in case.

Perfectly normal. Not worm eggs, just little pellets of calcium. Try running the egg under warm water and see if they wash off easily in your hands.

I have a few hens who are always laying eggs with these little rough patches, and they wash right off. It's nothing to worry about.
