My pekin ducks are just over a month old. I got them on a farm not long ago and to me I think their poops look funny. Sometimes its milky white and others its green, sometimes it looks normal. How do I know what is a bad sign and what to look for with cocci. Can I treat them for cocci just in case?

Blood in the poop is usually a sign of cocci. I wouldn't treat randomly. Ducks have poops that change according to what they eat. you can add some AppleCider vinegar to their drinking water which is a good tonic 1 tab to 1 gal of water.

Here is some info but unless you see the symptoms listed here and it looks like it's more of a chicken disease than water fowl I'd not treat.

Thanks for the info. I don't see blood in the poop. They seem fine except Wallace sounds like he has asthma. Other than that, they seem healthy. Must be something they ate. I lost a few pigeons due to cocci so I am just paranoid. Thanks again!

Well if it's in your soil then yes you need to be watchful. Wallace sounds raspy? thats normal drake sounds. just keep on the way you are. This morning my gosling pooped water, never seen just clear liquid, it does make you wonder, but she is eating good and acting fine. They just like to keep us on our toes lol
