Weird pus growth, need help

I have a rooster with this odd growth that I've been treating with acv and iodine. Previously tried triple antibiotic ointment with no success. It's been a month of treating with no success.
I recently had a hen that had this growth on her abdomen. I thought it was a strange tumor and culled her. Now I see it on him. I thought pox, but it just keeps growing. It turns into this black crust, but that yellow you see is pus. It keeps forming more each day. ANY ideas?

Its both in the ear canal and lobe. It just keeps growing. It's possible it's pox, but I don't know how to treat the wound to keep it from growing.

He had a pus scab like that. It eventually fell off with iodine, leaving a hole in his comb.

It doesnt look like fowl pox, I've dealt with fowl pox.

Thank you for that link. It does look very similar. That sucks that there isn't a treatment. I had checked his mouth previously, so know it wasn't trich. I've never heard of the ear canker before. Appreciate the info.

Wanted to give a follow up on my rooster. I finally found a vet to see him. Unfortunately, by the time she could see him, it progressed to, sort of, eat away at his ear canal and a nerve was exposed when she lifted the crust. We decided immediately to euthanize and have a necropsy done. It appears it was ear canker. I will attach the relevant pathology note.

@myfester Thank you for posting the pathology report and I'm sorry your rooster was euthanized. Have comfort knowing he gave you 11 years of enjoyment and protecting his hens. It looks like his ear was loaded with all kinds of deadly bacteria that wouldve eventually overwhelmed him.
