Weird question about egg consumption

Yes I have had many of my girlfriends ask about the whole needing a rooster to lay eggs thing. Once I tell them they feel pretty stupid and laugh at themselves. In my experiences the men are the only ones to actually argue with me about something they have admittedly prefaced the convo with "I dont really know but ....." . If "you don't really know" then why argue with me who does know??

My hairdresser asked me about the colored eggs, she wanted to know what colors my hens lay. I told her they lay brown, chocolate & green, she was very surprised by my answer and then asked me, are the eggs inside brown, chocolate & green? I don't know if I can eat green eggs?

Next time a man says that hens cant lay without a rooster just mention that women ovulate, man or not... I havn't done it, but now that I think of it, the look on their face when you say vulate: would probably be priceless! ( I work with 30 men and one other women, and find it entertaining to say words having to do with my female parts occasionally just to hear them all groan)

A woman friend of mine was brought in an egg that a chicken had laid in the coop by her husband.He laid it on the counter top.She asked him what he was going to do with the egg.He told her cook it and eat it.She said she wasn't going to eat it.He asked why not.She said because it came from a chickens rear-end.He then asked her where the store bought ones came from.She said they were manufactured.This did happen and the woman was raised in the country.

What would a reason be for not consuming the eggs fresh from the coop??

To wait for another egg or two to be laid so you could have a 2 or 3 egg omelet.

My next farm over neighbor is a 3rd generation 60 something dairy farmer turned beef cattle farmer who was raised around chickens, and he said I would need a rooster to get eggs. Both he and his son the farmer expressed surprise when we told them that we could have plenty of eggs without a roo, although we ended up getting a few since his wife wanted to hear them crow. Nice neighbors, huh?
