Weird question about feed

since you have ducks as well as chickens why not just feed an all flock with a side of oyster shells and be done with it?

My local TSC doesnt have a large variety of poultry feed... plus I'm obviously trying to keep it on teh cheaper side of things. I go through about 100# every 5 weeks.. so for 16 birds total I guess I might be feeding them too much. I have a chick tay that I fill about 3/4 full for the ducks since their beaks are so large. Then a 3# hanging feeder for the chickens that I fill about half full per day. Currently the daily plan is: let them out fo teh hen house first thing in the AM and put the feeders out. They stay all day in the run (well except for 3 escape artists) and I let everyone out at about 6pm. In the summer it doesnt get dark here until around 10pm and everyone puts themselves to bed at about 9-9:15 so they have ample time running loose. But by the time I let them out the tray is more or less empty and the hanging feeder has maybe 2-3 cups left in it.
