I have seen eggs seep from cracks but this morning I saw what looked like condisation on some of the shipped eggs in the bator. This evening I can definately tell it is seepage is there a chance her chickens are not getting enough calcium because there are no cracks it looks like it is coming from the pores on the eggs.

It is possible that an extremely porous shell will allow bacteria in and will seep through the pores when it goes bad. Use your nose and take a whiff-you do not want those eggs exploding. In fact, if you know they're seeping, they need to come out now. Is this the first day they've been in there? This isn't just condensation from putting cold eggs in a warm bator?

I set them about 1:00 am ON Sunday morning and not all of them are doing this. I will try to get a picture so you can see what I am if my camera will take a good enough picture.

A couple of hatches ago I had some eggs that started seeping.....it looked like they were sweating, but it was stickier than water. Some of the others were fine. I took them out even tho i really couldn't smell them yet....didn't want to take a chance on them exploding.

I took them out (5) these are from the horrible packing box and the stuff was had dried it looked wet but was hard. I am still looking for my camera (hubbie had it last) ...... only good news I got my 2 blue cochins yesterday sweet cheeks and stud muffin they are too cute and fairly tame and I do not think that intergrating will be a problem they were bought from a lady that lets her hens go broody and there were a number of chicks younger then mine running around in their coop when I picked them up.

I'm so glad this question was asked!

I've got my first shipped eggs in the 'bator now. Several of them have this same type of seeping. I'll go ahead and toss them tonight. Unfortunately, I think these eggs had a really hard time during shipment. There is only signs of life in one of them but keep holding out...

Thanks for the info!
