I guess it could! I’ve never seen a bruise on a duck foot before! Lol
It’s totally flat, no broken skin... nothing raised or swollen at all. It goes through to the other side and I don’t think it bothers her at all... just showed up this morning and we were worried.

I guess at this point just watch it. You could put some antibiotic ointment or soak in warm Epsom salt water other than that I’d say just watch it.

Seems like it must have been a bruise or broken blood vessel... It looks much smaller this morning! Thank goodness! I bear ate my sons chicken so we got a "house duck" because the kid has been crying every night for 6 months about this chicken and I would be devistated to watch him lose another pet... sooooo I am sure I will be on here a lot buggin! lol
