weird spots on eggs

I have 8 black star hens i am getting about 6 eggs daily some times 7. I got two eggs yesterday that had small white spots in closters on attached to the out side of the egg. when rubbed with finger they come off. they dont look like calcium deposits. the sports are about the size of the end of a needle and maybe 20- 30+ in a cluster? Is there a bug laying eggs on my eggs. or what. Any ideas.

Sounds indeed like calcium deposits. Not all deposits are firmly attached to the egg and can easily rubbed off.
