The other day me and my mom went to somebody's house to help them butcher their turkeys. While we was plucking we saw something poking out of his chest that was not his beard. I thought it was a broken bone. The guy who owned the turkeys pulled it out with a pair of pliers which ending up proving that it wasn't bone. On the next turkey it had the same thing, but this one had hooked around and poked back out in the breast. The things also stank. The third turkey didn't have it, though. The turkeys free ranged and were living next to his pigs. We think it is some type of barrowing parasite. My mom says it has almost a wooden feel, but it was hard. We are wondering what it is.

Sorry but without photos, there is no way to guess at what it could have been.

@R2elk my mom said we should of token pictures, but we didn't think of it then.
The first one we was told was treated for some respiratory problem.
My mom said it looked like it had been eating the turkeys' breast.
