ok can any one tell me why my chickens scrape there beaks back and forth on the ramp to the coop before they go in ... is it a i have to have a clean face before i go in lol

or is it just a funny quirk they have ???

Mine often scrape their beaks on ANYTHING (including my jeans) to clean them off. Yours are probably just washing their faces before bedtime.

I remember back in the day when my mom had parakeets and she had that white stone for the birds to sharpen their beaks on. Would the chickens benefit from anything like that?

Naw, I think you'd be wasting your money. A brick or wood would suffice.
