New layers often have a few glitches in the startup process. Soft-shelled and/or shell-less eggs like this are one of the oddities that can crop up. If it's only an occasional occurrence it's not a problem.

She’s laid hard eggs today which she had no problem doing xI haven't seen it myself, but it's reported that hens have a harder time laying soft-shelled or shell-less eggs. Nothing to push against, I suppose?
