Weird things that chickens like

I had heard that chickens will eat kombucha scoby so I peeled of a layer this morning and cut it into little pieces. The chickens went CRAZY for it! I have never seen them behave this way over any food. One would grab a piece and run away with it. The others would run after her. They raced around like this until it was all gone. They've never even seen this food before, but they pounced on it as soon as I put the plate down. Maybe because it looks like slugs which they seem to really like.

What have you notice your chickens go nuts for that seemed really strange?

That is great to know they can eat the Kombucha mother! ...never would have thought of that. I have extra I will have to pass down them...I bet it has lots of nice probiotics for them
