***On a side note, I see the twine on the straw there in the nest. Be careful with that around your chickens because those nutty critters will try to eat twine and string and can get it wound around their tongues and choke. It's easily overlooked, but a worse hazard than you can imagine. I'm always picking up pieces of string around here on the property.

I had left the shed open with a new bale of straw and my girl wandered in there and made a nice nest on top.
On a SIDE note...I had a scare yesterday in my morning glory VINES...a hen HAD managed to get herself completely tangled in them. Had to CUT the vines around her! Poor thing!
Morning Glory vines are poisonious too...my girls do not seem to like them though. MY HUGE vines are testament to that!
