Weirdest egg

My quail that was sick but now doing great started laying again. Tonight she laid this crazy dinosaur looking specimen. It’s huge and thick shelled. Has anyone else seen something like this?! It’s not an issue, really, I’m just curious.

The lighting is off. It’s gray and beige

Sick egg probably sat inside of your bird for a really long time.
What was she sick with?
How old is she?

She wasn’t eating and had green poop for a week or so. She’s laid one normal egg since becoming better. I haven’t cracked this egg open yet. The texture of the shell is grainy and it has gray brush stroke looking blotches on it. I’ve never seen anything like it.

She was hatched this spring so not very old.
