I took the store at it's word but when I finally noticed the ear and shank color, I realized these aren't wyandottes. After some digging, I think they're Silver Lakenvelder.

The marens and the lakenvelders have all started laying (at least one of each but I think both the marens). Mongo the Brahma hasn't but she's still a baby. I know it's wrong to have favorites but she's definitely my favorite. I am gonna be getting rid of the lakenvelders. I didn't want them and frankly, I don't like them.

everyone has started laying! and the lakenvelders are gone-which has everyone else much happier. I have space for 10 but 8 seems to be a more manageable number for everyone so I'm keeping it there

it's not like I don't have plenty of eggs
