Now that sounds like an interesting story! Painful but interesting. At least my thumb doesn't hurt every time I take a step.

cutting plywood in flipflops on the ground is not a good idea, having a sticky guard is worse

lol, my god mother cut off part of her thumb on a meat slicer where we used to work

DH and I were just talking about a man we both knew before we met. He's a sweet old man who cut off all fingers except pinky & thumb. I met him when I was 19. Went to a church with a friend & he shook my hand. I instinctively jerked my hand back because the lack of digits surprised me. He laughed and said "Don't be scared, I lost my fingers years ago in an accident at work. If you find 'em, let me know!"

Hubby met him about 20 years after me. You just don't forget good people.

@Puddin Fluff, in regards to your comment about good family.....WELL, the ones I associate with are good, I really thought no one would show up & I gave them all the option & totally would've understood. Maybe my cooking is just that good!
