Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

We had another raccoon attack yesterday morning on our quarantine pen in the carport. This is a heavy-duty hardware cloth "tractor" with only the tiniest space between the top "hatch" and the walls (not even an inch). Somehow the creature was able to slide his paw in and grab the comb of one of our "replacement" 55's and give it a yank. The force of the yank fractured his beak as it slammed him into the hatch (not a clean break and he still seems to be able to eat) and the raccoon ate the nubs off his comb!
Thankfully, he was able to get away and seems to be doing okay.

Box trap - BOOM !

They’re surprisingly dark for having such a light dad.

..... Kirk and Carson...
:love:love:love
We got 14 inches of snow yesterday.... With it still coming down today.... So hopefully I won't have it too rough on the way home

My wife's getting all crabby.... But I don't mind driving in it.
We got a light dusting overnight but its pretty much gone now ..
:lau Maybe if I cross one finger & one eye it'll get the job done. :gig
:lau:gig:gig
Can we please get a picture of that?
:pop
:love:love:love

Can I have a guinea?:gig
One is usually all that’s necessary. :frow ;)

:lau

We buried one once and it disappeared! Something must have dug it up and dragged it off. We usually just hang the head in a tree now. This last one, we just cut a V down into the brain and removed just the antlers with the small piece of skull keeping them together.
:lau :gig:gig

Dad does the same.. cuts em off..
So my dear darling husband went today and got almost 5 tons of gravel and we spread around the sides of my coops. Added a piece of edging that I hope will divert water around, instead of thru, my CL pen.

The ducks enjoyed digging while I was raking leaves away, and almost got one load dumped on them. Lol

NICE!!! :clap
Eh.... She's been puking for three days.
.....:sick
I'm gonna make her go to the doctors.
I'm sick and tired of her being sick every time we go visit the kids.
It's odd..... She pretty much had been deathly ill every time we have gone down there in the past two years but once.
She spends the whole time in bed...... And puking
Oh nooo... I hate that! :hugs
I hope the doc can help her..:fl
:( maybe. I haven't gotten sick nearly as often since I moved from the elementary school to the high school.
Cos yer no longer around kids that wipe their snot everywhere...:gig

Let's make today a good one, Pond Folk.
