I feel your pain

It didn't stick for long Thank God

I hope the horse is gaited
I don't think so. I think it's a QH. Oh well, it will be worth whatever aches and pains that show up.

I forgot to share my other good news today. When we got home from Alaska, we discovered that our water softener hadn't been working the whole time we were gone. We have hard, rusty water so it was kind of a mess. I have been regenerating it manually since we got home, and finally got tired of it. Had a repair guy out, fully expecting him to say we have to replace the thing. Nope. He walked in, took a look and said, "Well, here's your problem..." Somehow it had been set to run after 3000 gallons had been used! He made the adjustment, took a water sample to check for hardness, then told us that they have iron filters they can install if we're interested. It took about 10 minutes for him to do everything (and another half hour before he left, because he likes to talk. DH said, "I hope he charges by the job and not the words")

made it to town yesterday and just had to show off how pretty my organic grocers is this time of year. Best grocer in the north and all those beautiful veggies are less expensive than Walmart <3
That looks like a great store chickisoup.:)
Is their produce locally grown and is it good?

Today was the memorial service for SIL's mother. There were too many people there. I was forced to be social and used up all of my words for the day. I watched people communicating away and thought, "How do they do that so easily ?" Alcohol made me far more communicative, but those days are in the past.

While sitting quietly at the table, I felt someone start to fondle my head. I turned around, and there was a somewhat attractive lady who said, "My husband's head is just like yours - I had to touch it. Is that okay?" WEIRD! Yeah she was pretty drunk.

I was delighted to get in the car with the Princess and head for home. I like to talk to her. :idunno
I did a word count here once Mr sourland. I spoke 116 words to humans in one weekend that is probably a realistic average.. My lowest count was 5 in a week.

Evening pond friends :frow
Gone most of the day, semi-annual roadtrip to my oncologist. Rainy and dark the whole trip so we didn't even get to enjoy the colors. Won't get the "big" test results for a few days but all the other ones were fine so pretty sure all's good.

And now for the squirrel version of "Bubba"
(I'm beginning to sense a theme here)
Smart squirrel. No way he can get shot hanging onto the barrel.:)
He/she didn't like the gun much.

Good Morning, Pond!
Today begins a 5-day stretch of no school for me. Teacher's workshop today, then MEA break tomorrow and Friday. So, today I am hoping to do some catching up in the house, and tomorrow I have a horseback riding date with a friend of mine. She wanted to know long I thought I could handle riding, as it's been years since I've been on a horse. She's planning on riding 3-4 hours. I told her I'm game. I'll probably regret it later, and will have to just fall off the horse when we're done, but it'll be worth it. I'm pretty excited about it, actually!

Hoping DH will be in the field on Friday. If he is, I'll be unloading beans for him all day. I really hope he's able to get out there...
Get a stretch routine sorted.:) and something to fall on.
