Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

All schools closed. Now the whole country is to stay clear of masses. No more than 50 people. Utah's Governor suggested that a week and a half ago. Don't go to the stores then, because there are more than 50 people in line! First time I stood in a line was Saturday. Had fun talking to a gentleman that was 2 years younger than me. I thought he looked older than me. Hmm..I wonder how old I really look. lol. Anyway, crazy..going to try and stay home now..maybe shop at a store that is open through the night. We have one other than Walmart. Maybe I'll be in luck and see a few items I need. Son that is living with us, was given a laptop and three screens from his workplace to work with. He's going to work his 8 hrs here at home. Sad news..a Sailor was tested positive today. They said it would get worse before it got better. Of course. Just hope the hospitals get the supplies they need! I am one that agrees that the military should be brought in. They have the tents..and supplies to help with all of the patients that hospitals can't..fit.

Glad son2 is being cared for.

Is all of that white stuff hail?

You got a bunch.

We... still have feet of snow, but it has been maybe 5 days since we have had fresh stuff. So yeah, no plowing, and lots of stars at night.

Yep. It hailed for about 30 minutes with crashes of thunder that shook the house!

E and I were talking about how breaking down in vehicles was a huge part of our late teens and early twenties, but with modern reliability, it just doesn't happen much anymore. So Son 2 now has a "car breaking down" adventure story to tell!

Good Monday morning fellow amphibians,
Hope you all are successfully treading water in these crazy days. :hugs

No work for me today. Went out census working in some very rural areas yesterday. We still have a good two feet of snow and lots of ice. Think you guys can already see where this is going. Yep, hiking in to a snowed in cabin and SPLAT. Face planted onto a slab of concrete. Well, sort of. No damage to the face. Tore skin off my hands and came down HARD on my chest and my bad knee (of course). I'm fine. Just banged up a little and a rather "poofy" colorful knee. Worse part was my right leg didn't want to bend so I had a fun time trying to work the gas and brake. I did manage to finish the last couple houses in the assignment I was working but when I realized I was bleeding on the census forms, guessed it might be time to head for the barn.
