I really feel sorry for you guys with the heat and/or drought. I wish there were a way I could share all this precipitation with you (pretty soon we are going to start looking like the Washington rainforest.) The DH is beginning to wonder if we should tie the canoe to the back porch. (FYI- the creek runs thru the northern edge of our back forty)

we always had a huge 4th party on the farm---son and son in law doing impressive fireworks display, 20 pizzas delivered, soft drinks. Friends and neighbors invited--bring your own lawn chair, many brought a dessert or chips and stuff. Had to cancel last year, and too dry to do even a smaller version this year. maybe next year...
(yes fireworks are illegal here--but when all neighbors are invited, no alcohol, and only our designated pyros setting off mortars, we have never had a problem! state troopers have stopped by and stayed for pizza!)

Morning Pond marine layer is back in 66 this morning..
I can do this warms up good but cools at night .. think I will talk to the feed store see if they can get me like 5 banty

Eh.... do it anyway, but use non flammable fun.

Like blown out eggs full of confetti, and water guns and water balloons.
