Black widow spiders (Latrodectus species) are common to eastern Washington. A few small populations of black widows exist in western Washington.

Lots of them in full use up here.
But then we have lots of homestead types and off the grid types etc.

Up here they always have 1 coffee can with a roll of tp and 1 coffee can with ash or lime.

when I was travelling all over the back roads doing the census this spring, I could always count on coming across a cabin with an outhouse just when I needed one!

none here or brown recluse either. We don't even have a poisonous snake. Just lots and lots of ticks.
