Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Thank you Bobbi :hugs The puppers is doing much better! The second vet trip was the charm. My regular vet knew just what to do and it really was an acute pancreatitis attack. Thank you Lord. Since she's already a senior, we'll just have to be careful about what she eats for the rest of her life and hopefully that will keep her from evr having another attack.
Very glad to hear the good news about puppers!!!!

And congrats on the midterm. My formerly 4.0 kid is now struggling, just way too much crud going on for him... and I keep telling him D = done. Move on, it will get better.

I think knowing it isn't the end of the world to not get straight As is good for him. I am thinking he will end up with Bs.... but who knows.

I should’ve made a soybean one too, but to be honest, I have no idea what a soybean bush (?) looks like.

Good morning pond! Last day of babysitting my boss's flock and cats. We're still busy as ever with band/ football games since we made the playoffs, the fall play, and now gearing up for winter sports (both kids start swim team soon).

I'm glad puppers is doing better! That's wonderful news!

Today we dive back in to dog ownership. It's been a couple years since our last dog passed and we've become a cat house. We used to have 3 dogs, now we have 3 cats. It's definitely going to be a huge adjustment all around. Smores is a German Shephard/ golden retriever mix and was my BIL's dog but they need to make some adjustments in their house in order to get a service dog for their son. I'm hoping she adjusts well. They say she has an aggressive/ temperamental side but we've never seen it. Hopefully everything will go smoothly and everyone will adjust to each other. Wish us luck!

Room, that’s adorable!

Soybeans kind of grow like green beans - bush beans, not pole beans. They start out with a single stalk that can branch out, flower and develop pods. In a good year, they will get over waist-high on me. (To put that in perspective, I’m just under 5’3”.) When they’re ripe, the leaves turn from green to yellow to brown, then fall off. The pods and beans also turn brown, then dry out and harden. The pods have to be dry enough, or the beans won’t shell out when they run through the combine. Sometimes they can be too dry, then the bean itself will shatter. (DH says, “If you have your combine set right, that shouldn’t happen.”)

Tonight is mischief night. That meant something in NJ, but no one around here has ever heard of it. 😲 I am glad I got to have a cool childhood.
I knew it as a kid as Devil's Night. Unfortunately these days it probably takes on a whole new meaning but back then it was toilet paper and smashed pumpkins with the occasional soaping of car windows.

I just survived the first half of my Constitution course. Didn't exactly ace my midterm but I passed. At my age I consider that a win. Just a bit humbling for someone who once carried a 4.0 gpa in about everything but apparently that required a much younger brain  I'm happy tho, knowing how blessed I am to have my brain still functioning at all after the prior 9 years of chemo.
I impressed major great you passed..
Thank heavens pup is alright
