Oh, yeah…..that’s another thing I don’t miss about having chickens….no doody duty, no poop on my shoes, and no litter in my socks!

I miss my birds until it’s bitter cold out. No frozen water, no frozen me!

That's how I'm feeling this winter. I look out and see my coop and think, ahh, don't have to go out in that weather!

I euthanized my 1st chicken today. Crazy that after a dozen years this is the first time it’s come up. It was tough. She was my favorite, of course.

Logically, I know “it was the right thing to do.” Emotionally, I feel like a horrid, callous murderer.
