Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

I do church taxes... and taxes for a Management group... and a tiny non-profit ... and all mine....

I have started on taxes since some of the church taxes are due the end of this month!!! And there is some paperwork I can't find. :he

Depends on how much she made... the cap is actually really low... I think $1,400 last year???

I use turbo tax and there is button on there that you click....

There is an option to report her income on your taxes... but I am right at the cutoff line in regards to tax brackets... so it made more sense to file the kids individually, but as dependents. It was interesting... here are these kids... making peanuts... and 2 of them had to pay taxes. Crazy.

Thank you. I know she made over $1000 because she managed to save up at least that much. I guess we'll find out. I thought we had gotten her W2 but I was wrong, we got something for DS's college class payment.

I’m really mad.

Plus I’ve got a wild salamander that I saved from the ducks last night loose in my house. I feel terrible that I tried to save it only to subject it to a long, dry death under my entertainment center. :he:he:he:hit
Put out a little tray with a wet sponge under your entertainment center..

Better yet.. put the water sponge stuff in a salamander live trap

I’m praying with every fiber of my being that she climbed into the wet potted plant that was next to her. I’ll never know for sure. That plant will get watered frequently with drinking water from now on, just in case.

I’ll never forgive myself. :hit

Good idea about the sponge. I’ll scatter a few around. :hugs

Ah!

Here are the scary lines:
"If your total advance child tax credit payment amount is greater than what you're eligible to claim on your 2021 tax return, you will have to repay what is owed.

That's because the payments were based on the IRS' estimate of your 2021 child tax credit amount.

You can repay the excess during the 2022 tax filing season when you file a return for 2021."

Also... it wasn't clear if my refund will be smaller... or not...
