Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Beautiful! šŸ˜

You can really see details that you can’t in the snow, like the ropes for the bells. Who rings those & do they get rung for every service?
Actually I love the bells... I will try to get good bell photos for you this weekend.

The bells are ALASKAN. :lau (as in a mix of this and that, trash, repurposed, and nice!)

So, our biggest bell is a propane tank with the bottom cut off.

The next bell up is a fancy hand cast, made in Washington state, with the church name on it. It has perfect sound.

Next one up is a small bell off a boat.

Then we have 2 tiny bells from another boat.

We ring the best quality one slowly 15 minutes before a simple prayer service, and that same one is rung quickly directly before a simple prayer service.

All of the bells are rung slowly 15 minutes before liturgy, and then all the bells are rung quickly directly before a liturgy.

The best quality one is rung 12 times, slowly, during the liturgy, right after we say the apostolic creed, for the 12 points of the creed.

Then we ring them all, but in different ways for feasts, especially if we having a Procession. So they are rung while we walk around the church. Slowly and from smallest to largest if is it a solemn feast, or a funeral; or from largest to smallest as well as more quickly for a celebratory event.

Not sure if this link will work... but this is a video from the church Facebook page with the bells bring rung for the Resurrection of Christ.

And... 2 more pictures from last month...
