Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Ponders good evening one and all!

Monday and Tuesday were bummers for me.

I had an appointment in Jax related to my pain and on the way back I rear-ended the car in front of me.

I spent most of the morning on the phone with the insurance company.

Hubby has an appointment Thursday with his orthopedic physician and we have a Tropical storm sitting in the Atlantic that is supposed to on land.

NICOLE is a Tropical that is supposed to come on land as a Cat 2.

77 partly sunny 79% humidity feels like 78 storm surge warning tropical storm watch wind 45 to 60 mph with gusts up to 75 mph.

Have a great day!
I am glad your body is ok...OK.... how is the car?

:hugs

I was out doing before winter cleanup today (pretty late, I am VERY lucky that we haven't already had freezing temps, used to be when I was kid it might be snowing on Halloween) and as I was bagging up loose feed bags that had gotten blown around the poultry area, a truck stopped in the road. This is a little dead-end road with no thru traffic.

Now, there is a house right across from my property there, so I figured it was probably something to do with them. I paid it no mind.

As I'm hauling up an old pallet though, I notice he's walking across the yard toward me. Lost, maybe? Have had that happen before. Pixel is jumping at him, so I call out that she's friendly.

He starts saying something but I couldn't hear so I told him that, and he gets a little closer and he says, "[Neighbor's Name]?"

Ah, so he is looking for the house across the road. I tell him so. He explains that his wife is her coworker, and she asked that he bring her some eggs.

Keep in mind I am standing in my chicken yard. There are two coops full of chickens behind me. There is literally a flock of 20 hens free ranging around me right now. The geese are grazing not far away.

At this point, I really want to ask him why he thought I needed eggs, lol. Like, why come over here, to the YARD FULL OF CHICKENS, when looking for someone that needs eggs?

But I didn't say it and just politely told him, nope, not me, definitely you want to go across the road, lol.

On the upside, got some stuff from https://gritroutdoors.com/ nearby sports store, getting ready for winter season!
Next time he'll offer watering your lawn during a rain storm 🤣
