Luckily the deadline isn't until Saturday night...
But... wow... what a week.
I haven't been sleeping well, I will blame it on that....

They're alot of fun I really love them and the colors you can get. I have one that's supposed to be a celadon (it hatched from a celadon egg and came from her celadon pen) unfortunately was the only one so I have to decide if I want to buy more celadon eggs or back cross to it. Of course it's a rooster too so I won't even know if it carries the gene till the second generationLove all the colors![]()
I got really into the coturnix because with all the new color genes that have been imported, there's a lot of genetics to play with. And since they can be laying within six weeks, the generational turn around time is fast. So they're my fun with genetics birds now, haha.
I just hatched a batch of celadons and am waiting to see if all the hens lay blue, because it's the only way to tell if the rooster is homozygous for the celadon gene. They're five weeks old now, so hopefully I'll soon see if I need to try another rooster or not.
