I thought that they were coming this week.... but....



I DID get some chicks my older sister bought me....

15 Partridge Chanteclers ... 1 DOA, the rest looked great... but we were gone all day today for kid #4 high-school graduation... came back to 1 dead. Rest look good.... the 1 dead didn't have a full crop.

I ran through all 13 still alive... and crops felt great... so hopefully that means we are now good.

Sure are cute chicks. I haven't had the Partridge color before. Chicks are all different shades... pretty fascinating.

I hope I have time tomorrow to compare them all and take good pictures...

Good morning little not fun this morning DH woke me he had a low blood sugar. This is a new wrinkle only had them at night before.

Well that's a bummer. I found my second Muscovy on a nest, I didn't even know she was laying. First time she's gone broody so we'll see how that goes meanwhile My other Muscovy has hatched two clutches and is currently laying again, I like her!

Oooh partridge color is so pretty! That sucks about the dead ones. I lost one of my black turkey poults. Those are the ones I specifically went for I figure I'll raise this one out old enough to identify it and see if they have one of the opposite sex lol
