Hello Pond!
School was dismissed early today due to weather. BUT - we got there for a few hours so we don’t have to make it up and I still get paid for a whole day, so it’s a win-win.

No baking here yet either. I’ll probably make a batch of krumkake and fudge for Christmas Eve, and again when the family is home the first weekend in January. I would love to do more, but DH doesn’t like sweets and I do, and I can’t eat them responsibly.

We have a short day tomorrow, then we’re off until January 2. No big plans for the break. It will be kind of nice, I think, to have some time to not ‘have to’ go anywhere or do anything. (We will still likely end up going and doing, but it will because we want to and not because we have to.)

I have been lacking in my baking as well, but did make a few types of doughnuts today. 6 disappeared before I knew my housemate was in the kitchen. She also ate a bunch of pb chocolate filling. I ate dinner alone.

Like when I bought a pie book... I started at the front, cooking ALL the pies. Spouse doesn't like pie!!!

I did another double batch of chocolate mint chip cookies and a half a batch of sugar cookies today. I'm done! I'm not baking any more (until after Christmas since DD wants some for her birthday). DH came home from work today and declared that he's taking all the chocolate mint chip cookies to work to share
